Hi, I'm Beth, sometimes Bethy.
I’m an artist based in Nova Scotia, blending storytelling, texture, and play in intuitive, process-driven pieces that explore creativity, curiosity, and personal narrative.
I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember, though for many years my making took different forms — from running a print shop to working in film, advertising, and design. In 2014, I followed a nudge and moved to the East Coast. Surrounded by ocean, wind, and wide skies, I found my way back to art in a deeper way.
Today, my practice is rooted in colour and story. It’s fuelled by playing, experimenting, and a whole lot of curious-ing. I work with textiles, layering, dyeing, weaving, and stitching as a way to slow down and listen — to let something unexpected take shape. Each piece holds its own narrative, but also leaves space for others to find their own meaning.
Alongside my own art-making, I love creating spaces where women can connect, share, and rediscover the joy of making things together — spaces filled with colour, conversation, and the kind of laughter that happens when the focus is on fun.
The Crafted Path is where I share that journey: the pieces I’m creating, the ideas I’m exploring, and the ways art connects us — to ourselves, to each other, and to the joy of making.
